How Gen Z consumers and the ‘trust economy’ are changing the mall experience
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong governed the event, offering the Champion of Good grants, while Senior Minister of State for Culture, Community and Youth, and Trade and Market Low Yen Ling provided the Firm of Good– 3 Hearts awards.
Over the previous three years, 1,046 acknowledged Companies of Good have collectively added close to $384 million in amount contributions, more than $85 million in contributions in-kind, and over 1.1 million volunteer hours.
Meanwhile, 63 business were given the Champ of Good award– the best tier of the recognition system– including Kuok (Singapore), Lendlease Global Commercial Trust Management, Mapletree Investments and TS Group.
An overall of 481 businesses were acknowledged as Companies of Good by the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) this year, as the campaign noted its 10th anniversary. The acknowledgment honours organizations that create favorable social impact in Singapore.
One more 113 business got the Firm of Good– 3 Hearts acknowledgment, including 8M Realty, Banyan Tree Holdings, Far East Orchard, OUE REIT Management and Savills (Singapore).
“As we look ahead, NVPC will concentrate on strengthening the community of Business of Good and enabling organisations to pick up from each other, collaborate across companies and sectors and produce influence together,” includes Soh.
The statement was made at NVPC’s Business of Good Conference and Conferment held on July 20 at Fairmont Singapore, which in turn saw approximately 700 business leaders gathered up.
Small and medium-sized enterprises accounted for most of receivers, composing 376 groups, or 78% of the overall.
This year’s cohort consists of 177 Firm of Good– 1 Heart recipients, amongst them Colliers, Fraxtor, Craig Road Property, Ngee Koon, and Momentus Hotel Alexandra.
“10 years on, Company of Good has already presented that Corporate Purpose is progressively becoming an integral part of how organisations produce worth for their stakeholders and the broader culture,” states Tony Soh, PRESIDENT, NVPC.
